Message and Chris at BoostPro. Tyler has a beautiful black metallic TT with a lot of goodies on her but he has been having issues with getting the car to run right. A boost leak test showed that several of the fuel rail insulators were leaky so we replaced them along with a new plenum gasket. A few other boost leaks later, a conzult diagnostic, some actuator adjustments, boost controller installation and a few other odds and ends, we took the car out for a spin.

Tyler's car has the GT28R series turbochargers, not to be confused with the GT28RS, which is the same as a Sport700. This GT28R turbo uses a smaller compressor and turbine wheel, and the housings are also a little smaller with a .64 A/R turbine housing and a TB25 .60A/R compressor housing.

All I can say is WOW! These turbos come on like stock and provide ample, bottom-end grunt and are currently running at 19.5psi of boost with a 40% wastegate actuator duty. I would venture to say that the car is producing around ~430RWHP and a good bit of headroom is still waiting to be tapped. There is still a good bit more boost that can be made from them and I really look forward to putting this Z up on the rollers this weekend. Stay tuned....
